Non-Rooted Phones:
Install the SAI (Split APK Installer) app from this link ( Google Playstore)
download Micro G + vanced apk file from this link (official website)
Install Micro G
open SAI app go to settings and make sure that Sign APKs is toggled off
click on install APKs and select the APK package downloaded
give necessary permissions and complete installation and open Youtube Vanced APP
Non-Rooted Phones: ( Xiaomi Phones: MIUI )
Enable developer options (Go to phone settings – About Phone – Tap on MIUI version until u says u are a developer)
Go to developer settings and turn off MIUI optimization (it’s at the last )
Install the SAI (Split APK Installer) app from this link ( Google Playstore)
download Micro G + vanced apk file from this link (official website)
Install Micro G
open SAI app go to settings and make sure that Sign APKs is toggled off
click on install APKs and select the APK package downloaded
give necessary permissions and complete installation and open Youtube Vanced APP
Note: turning off MIUI optimization will revoke permissions of all apps that it had acquired earlier, after this procedure turn on MIUI optimization again, but some apps ask for permission like first time u have installed ( not an issue ) but apps like WhatsApp will not ask for permission u need to give manually from settings ( else contacts will just show as numbers)
ROOT INSTALLATION GUIDE:
Disable APK verification using a Magisk module or similar app (this module works on Android 9 or lower). If you’re on Android 10, you can use Xposed + CorePatcher
Install the SAI (Split APK Installer) app and enable root mode
Select the .apks file you download ( for downloading links find in Non-rooted method)
Click “install” and complete installation
installing From Xposed + CorePatcher
Install Riru – Core from Magisk Module Repo in Magisk Manger
Install EdXposed Manager from GitHub
Download the canary release and make sure you’re on the latest Magisk (Or you may experience boot loop)
Flash the downloaded zip from EdXposed Manager in Magisk Manager and reboot
Install CorePatch and toggle the module in EdXposed, open CorePatch, and configure it.
Install Vanced with SAI or ADB
Installing Via ADB:
Download the .apks file
Extract the .apks file (it’s just a ZIP)
Rename the YouTube_15.05.54_API21(nodpi)(vBlack-v2.1.0)-vanced.apk to YouTube_15.05.54_API21nodpivBlack-v2.1.0-vanced.apk
Run this command while connected to your phone: adb install-multiple YouTube_15.05.54_API21nodpivBlack-v2.1.0-vanced.apk config.arm64_v8a.apk config.xxxhdpi.apk split_config.en.apk
NOTE: If you want to install a language other than English, add it at the end of the command (for example split_config.de.apk)
If you’re on Dark, instead of Black, replace Black with Dark in the command.
Troubleshooting for Youtube Vanced: (thanks to MilindGoel )
1. This is basic troubleshooting:
wipe data and cache of
Vanced and microG for non-root
Vanced and Google play services for magisk and root
2. Reinstall YouTube Vanced
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Reboot between processes
3. For notification fix or white background or Vanced doesn’t come under “Google Cloud Messaging” follow this:
If the Vanced app is not showing up in the “Google Cloud Messaging” section of MicroG, then you need to log out of MicroG (system settings > accounts > find Google with a blue G logo > click “remove account” ) and then log back in.
4. Force closing issues:-
NON-ROOT:
A)If the non-root Vanced app is force closing before installing MicroG, uninstall both Vanced app and MicroG. Then install MicroG first, then Vanced. The force closing will then stop.
B)If the non-root Vanced app is force closing without installing microg, install microg and force closing will stop. [If you don’t want to log in, don’t log in and only install microg apk as vanced has little dependency on microg for connecting with Google services]
ROOT:
A) If your root version of Vanced is force closing upon opening the app, uninstall stock YouTube app updates. If this doesn’t help, disable/uninstall your substratum/swift themes overlays.
B) If your root version of Vanced is force closing in the middle of the app when the app is in the foreground/active or playing video, grab your logs and find:
1- Unsatisfiedlinkerror:
Sol:- Open file manager and go to root storage.
Then open “system/app/youtube/lib” and rename
arm64-v8a to arm64
armeabi-v7a to arm
2. Notehitelisted com.google.android.youtube:
Sol:- Check for solution from XDA
5. Settings crash:- Turn off your fingerprint and go in the settings and do your setting, after its done turn it back on. It won’t crash again after that even if you keep going in it unless you restart your device.
6. Connection issue:- If you’re having issues with Vanced saying “please check your connection” or “connect to the internet”, uninstall both Vanced and MicroG, reinstall both APKs but make sure you install the MicroG APK before you install the Vanced APK or APKs(when using v15).
If you’re still having issues with Vanced giving connection errors (even after installing MicroG first), receiving notifications, etc, make sure you disable battery optimization for the Vanced and MicroG app.
7. Splash got stuck:- (Thanks to rocco6victor From XDA for Fix)
If your advanced app got stuck on the splash screen, try either
A)
1. Switch Airplane mode on.
2. Open Youtube Vanced.
3. Tap on close in changelog popup.
4. Turn off Airplane mode.
5. Reopen vanced.
OR
B) Clear data and cache for both vanced app and microg, then disable battery optimization for microg using dontkillmyapp.com
For fixing various SAI errors that you might face in your device:-
Below are some known reasons which one of them you might face when you don’t follow instructions, so read the appropriate cause with its solution and fix your problem.
A) INSTALL_FAILED_VERSION_DOWNGRADE:-
Solution: Uninstall stock yt updates. Make sure the Stock YouTube version is lower than vanced version you are installing now.
B) INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS: Failed to extract native libraries:-
Solution: Download legacy version instead of the default
C) INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_APK: Split config.en was defined multiple times
Solution: Try removing the split_config.en apk from apks file then install
(Apks file is just a zip file so you can easily remove the apk from it)
D) INSTALL_FAILED_DUPLICATE_PERMISSION:-
Solution: Uninstall microg > reboot > install vanced via sai > install microg
If microg doesn’t install, install microg too via SAI.
E) Unable to install the app because it conflicts with an already installed app with same package name:-
Solution: Uninstall microg > reboot > install vanced via sai > install microg via apk package installer
If microg doesn’t install, install microg too via SAI.
F) APP IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH THIS DEVICE:-
Solution: Select the legacy architecture when downloading .apks from official site instead of default architecture.

G) INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES:-
Solution: It seems like you didn’t read instructions properly and installed vanced without disabling signature verification. or you tried some method which didn’t give any positive result, so the solution to both is to disable signature verification using the best method/alternative to what you used before.
